Let's Talk, Children and Families Half-term events

Take a look at our free Let’s Talk Children and Families events that are running during February half term. 

You and your family can come along, join in the activities and share your thoughts and ideas with the team.  Everyone is welcome and we look forward to seeing you. 

Thursday 17 February

Event: Stay and Play (under 5s). Free stay and play with a free lunch for children under 5. Suitable for babies and pre-schoolers with their parent’s carers and more. 

Venue: Wye Circus CIC, 7, Fields Yd, Plough Ln, Hereford, HR4 0EL

Time: 12pm to 2pm

Saturday 19 February

Event: Circus Skills. Free family Circus skills workshop and Show featuring Thomas Trilby. Everyone is welcome. 

Venue: Hunderton Scout Hut, Hereford, HR2 7AJ

Time:  10.30am to 12pm

Monday 21st February 

Event:  Children and family activities. Kids Kitchen, Talking Sofa, Kids eat free after school, Hereford FC Bull, messy play, sensory play, DJ, quiet zone for children with SEND partnering with Ditsy’ s Little Stars and Kids Kitchen.

Venue:  The Life and Soul Kitchen, Unit 1 , Three Elms trading estate, Hereford, HR4 9PU

Time:  9am to 6pm

Tuesday 22 February

Event: Children’s Active Play Session. Children's role-play activities, Little play world, Boxing activities, 3 Degreez Cheerleading and children's wall art.

Venue: Hinton Community Centre (enter through South Wye Police Boxing Academy), 21 Ross Rd, Hereford, HR2 7RJ

Time:  10am to 12pm

Wednesday 23 February

Event: Children’s creative activities. Smoothie making, arts and crafts, puppet workshop (TBC) biscuit baking and other activities.

Venue: Putson Baptist Church, 41 Web Tree Ave, Hereford HR2 6HQ

Time:  10am to 12.30pm

 

Event: Circus Skills. Free community day suitable for all ages and all experience levels. Learn how to aerial hoop, juggle and spin plates with a free lunch. 

Venue: Wye Circus CIC, 7, Fields Yd, Plough Ln, Hereford, HR4 0EL

Time:   11am to 3pm

 

Event: Pop up Cinema. Viewing of Disney’s Encanto on a 5K ultra HD screen with hot dogs, treats and goodie bags. Suitable for children 5-12.

Thursday 24 February

Event: Family Lunch Club. Family lunch club making lasagne and pudding with your family alongside some fun activities including Little Play world and a talking area.

Time:   10.30am to 1.30pm

Event: Glo Party Session. Open to all ages with activities for all. Glo Party Disco active session with team games followed by a free buffet.

Venue:  Bromyard Halo, Cruxwell St, Bromyard HR7 4EB

Time:  11am to 1pm

Event: Ledbury Arts Class. Ledbury youth group are working with Ledbury poetry festival bringing poets and entertainers to run interactive workshops with young people throughout the day. Food and refreshments will be provided free of charge.

Venue: Ledbury Youth Group/ Ledbury Poetry Festival @Barrett Browning Institute (BBI), Bye St, Ledbury HR8 2AA

Friday 25 February

Event: Tiddlers, Toddlers and Story Tellers. Free play, interest tables, Craft and activities for all ages. There will be physical play with bikes and soft play. Refreshments included. 

Venue:  Much Birch Village Community Hall, Much Birch, Hereford HR2 8HT

Time:  9.30am to 11.30am

 

Event:  Children and family activities. Activities for children for all ages, with Sensory activities for the younger children including arts and crafts. Older children can join in with the holiday club and enjoy their activities. Each child will be given a choice of a free goodie bags for all children.  Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Venue: OAKS Childrens Group, Honey Bees Day Nursery, Coningsby Rd, Leominster, HR6 8LL

Saturday 26 February

Event: Town Centre Markets. Market Stall with children's arts and craft activities with the opportunity to provide feedback about your community in a creative way. Come and meet the CDT team and share your views.
Venue: Ross market, The Corn Exchange, High St, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 7HL
Time: 9am to 3pm

Event: The Big Family Eat. The big eat will have a special family food theme with different foodie stations making homemade Pizza, sausage rolls, layered salad jars, tasty dips and Sundaes. There will also be non-foodie activities; Little play world, Talking area and clothes and bric a brac stalls. Booking required: louisa@growinglocal.org.uk or call/message 07902 802982.

Event: Pancake Race. The famous Ross Pancake Race with children's arts and craft activities with the opportunity to provide feedback about your community in a creative way. Come and meet the CDT team and share your views.

Time:  11am

Event:  Pancake Party. What’s your favourite topping? Join us for pancake making and races around the churchyard.

Time:  4pm to 5pm

Monday 28 February

Event: Family Fun Session. Messy play, sensory play, quiet zone for children with SEND partnering with Ditsy’s Little Stars and Kids Kitchen. Kids eat free all day, children after school welcome
